GSE

Brittany 2007

Spending four weeks in Florida, gives this GSE Team from District 1650 in France an opportunity to learn international and vocational skills.  Our Area 7 is the final week, having spent the first in Naples, then Fort Myers and the third in Sarasota.

After meeting Team Leader Claude Theard on November 10, Linda and I took him to the Jim Morris concert at the Visual Arts Center.  Though he admits to being more of a jazz fan, Claude was polite enough to mingle with our friends and hang out the entire evening.
The next day it was a boat ride on the Peace River.  Ours being the fourth week in Florida, he admits to having a half dozen such rides during the tour.

Sunday evening, Placida Rotary sponsored a multi-club social at Rotonda where we found a chance to mingle with all team members and hear their presentation for the first time.  From left to right are Claude Theard, Gwenaėl Le Berre, Delphine Le Maout, Jean-Raymond Fayat and Yann LaChaise.

Having met Claude at the Jim Morris concert, Judy and Mike invited us to their home for dinner on Monday.  Mike is anxious to show off his new smoker and vintage chicken recipe.

Early Tuesday morning the Team enjoyed breakfast with Harbor Rotary.
In addition to being host to the team leader, I found I was also called upon as Guest Editor for The Conquistador.
